Grand Junction Fire Station #7 Groundbreaking Ceremony Aug. 29 at 10:00am
Grand Junction’s newest fire station is breaking ground just across the street from Appleton Elementary. We are excited to welcome this added safety resource and look forward to its completion near the end of this school year.
The Appleton Carnival is Coming!
I hope you are making plans to join us for the carnival this year! It is always such a fun time to watch the students have fun and enjoying time with friends and family. It’s also a nice time for parents to mingle and get to know each other in a (somewhat) relaxed environment. Back again is our friends with Hillbilly Grill who will be catering the event and providing some delicious food for us all to order. Order forms for carnival tickets and meal tickets went home in your students Tuesday folders last week. If you need more help with the ordering, please reach out to the office. We always try and find a fun way to get the kids in the carnival mood, and this year we hired a big name actor to help us make a video. But he couldn’t make it, so this guy jumped in his place…(click to watch the video we made for the students)
Carnival Cake Walk Donations Needed
One of the most fun events at the Appleton Carnival is the CakeWalk. We need your donations to make that event happen. Please consider bringing a baked good (ex. cakes, pies, cookies, cupcakes, brownies, or breads) for the ever popular CakeWalk on the day of the Carnival or the day before. A plate of 6 cupcakes, a dozen cookies or any store bought pastry are all great ways to support the Cake Walk. Thank You!
***BONUS***The top 5 cakes will be auctioned off LIVE! Decorate a cake special and it may be one of the top five.
Carnival Support - Silent Auction Donations Needed!
The Appleton Carnival will be September 6. This is one of Appleton’s traditional fun events that supports many programs within our school (like our new Aquos Smart boards).
If you can support the silent auction it would be greatly appreciated. We are accepting items that you, a business, or organization you are associated with, are willing to donate. Free services, gift cards, and goods are all appreciated. More than 1,500 people will attend the carnival. Donating an item from your business is a great way to advertise. Please donate before September 3rd. Send in donations or call Corey Hafey 254-6400 for more information.
