Dear Appleton Community,
Our school is known for our pumped up assemblies to kick off each year led by our energetic music teacher Jill Phillips. Last Friday was no different. Our theme this year is “We Belong!” Our guest performers and speakers were Coach Kerri Bensley and the award winning Fruita Monument High Pom Squad who promoted our theme and showed off their hyped up synchronized dance moves. In addition, they shared their thoughts on our school rules of Respect & Effort. I’m sure their comments and enthusiasm inspired our students. It was a great event to kick off the start of what will surely be a great year!

Our first meeting of the school year is Thursday, August 25 at 4:10pm in the Appleton library. We need you! Please consider joining us and hearing how you can be a part of our parent/teacher community.
Carnival Support
The Appleton Carnival will be September 9. This is one of Appleton’s traditional fun events that supports many programs within our school (like our new Aquos Smart boards).
If you can support the silent auction it would be greatly appreciated. We are accepting items that you, a business, or organization you are associated with, are willing to donate. Free services, gift cards, and goods are all appreciated. More than 1,000 people will attend the carnival. Donating an item from your business is a great way to advertise. By popular demand we are adding a fun silent auction item this year. How would you like to have your own parking space near the parent pick-up area reserved for you all year?
